Who I Am / What I Do
Congratulations! If you’ve decided it’s time to find a Personal Trainer, that decision signals an important milestone in your life – a proactive choice to take responsibility for your health, fitness and wellness, and approach your overall well-being more seriously than you ever have.
I know what you’re thinking – and feeling – I’ve lived it. I’ve been there. Let me explain.
Years ago I made that same conscious decision to discover and unleash the inner-best-I-can-be within me. It was exciting, scary, challenging, rewarding and empowering. Best of all, it changed my life for the better.
This personal transformation inspired CORE Transition Lifestyle.
My objective is to help others find the satisfaction of transforming their lives and becoming the best they can be. Designing custom programs and guiding clients through a process they believe in and that they’ll stay with and enjoy.
Wellness is serious business, but I never forget to laugh and have fun along the way. Life’s too short otherwise.
At the same time, while wellness isn’t rocket science, it is an integrated approach to holistically healthy living. Diet, exercise, and education constitute a common-sense philosophy of better choices. Things like eating healthy, combined with a sensible and productive exercise plan, can make us more energetic and fit, happy and balanced in mind and body.
And best of all, the really great news is that as we age and mature, the right choices can become the most powerful and life-changing medicines of all.
Finding the right trainer may seem a simple thing but anyone that’s tried it will agree it’s easier said than done.
My Free Consultation is a chance to meet without obligation to see if we’re the right fit.
I am a trainer that understands, supports, and guides without judgment, energetic, dynamic, and empathetic, motivating you to be the best you can be. I understand the need to listen and learn about you, and I will train you with a personable touch to make hard work fun, and something to look forward to and not dread.
Consider me your ally and your advocate, ready to assist in your battle against the years.
My life experience, my maturity, and my dedication to continually improving my knowledge with ongoing education truly do set me apart. But in the end, I think it’s much more than that.
Like I said, I’ve been there…so let me explain what I mean by that.
Growing up in a home with five brothers, I played all kinds of sports, and was usually outplayed by them. To compete I developed some unhealthy habits, suffered from chronic severe heartburn and gained weight. I struggled with fad diets and failed to lose the pounds, and became unhappy, unmotivated, uninspired and felt totally unattractive.
Then I discovered aerobics and weight training and the benefits of gradually toning my body and sculpting my physique. I loved it and had some success, and even competed in Toronto’s first female bodybuilding contest, but what stayed with me were the lessons and discipline that came of it, and the lifelong benefits of better choices.
Weight training was a real eye-opener. I initially trained in all-male bodybuilding gyms, devoured books on fitness and nutrition, attended workshops and continued exploring the latest developments. I committed to additional healthy, real-world physical activities and sensible diet, choosing optimal life choices over fads and gimmickry.
Over the years, I recognized how many people reaching their middle years are looking for the same answers I’d spent years seeking. This inspired me to become a trainer.
At CORE Transition Lifestyle my personal mission is to offer clients more than mere advice; an active and collaborative wellness partnership to help them make the right choices and take the right steps on their journey to achieve their goals.
The objective is a plan customized to fit their personality and be attainable and sustainable – and as I said before – that’s fun and implemented with sensitivity, knowledge and a sense of humor!
You can do it! I can help you! Let’s get to know each other and get started.
